Who we are

Velonda Capital Pty Ltd · ABN 20 697 961 158 · ACN 697 961 158 · AUSTRAC AAN 295 655 510. Velonda Capital provides finance for business and commercial purposes only and does not provide consumer credit. Velonda is not a bank or authorised deposit-taking institution.

What we collect

Identity information (including identity document details and biometric information captured during face match and liveness checks); business and entity information; contact details; financial and bank transaction information obtained with your consent; credit information; and records of the consents and declarations you provide.

Why we collect it

To assess and administer applications for business and commercial finance; to meet our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, including customer due diligence, screening and ongoing monitoring; to detect and prevent fraud; and to keep the records the law requires us to keep.

Biometric information

Biometric information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act and is handled accordingly. It is collected with your consent, used for identity verification and fraud prevention, and is not used for any unrelated purpose.

Bank data and the Consumer Data Right

Where you choose to connect your bank, data is accessed read-only through a provider accredited under the Consumer Data Right, subject to the consent you give at the time. Velonda cannot use this connection to move money or make changes to your account.

Who we disclose it to

Service providers who help us verify identity, screen for sanctions and politically exposed persons, obtain bank data, obtain credit information, and execute documents; our professional advisers; and regulators and law enforcement where we are required or authorised to disclose.

Where it is held, and for how long

Australian data residency is preferred, and information is held with encryption in transit and at rest. Records relating to customer due diligence are retained for seven years as required by law.

Access, correction and complaints

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You may also complain about how we have handled your information. Contact info@velonda.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
